Candidate Statement

Good Morning America! And a Blessed Good Morning to the residents of the 9th Congressional District of Illinois.

I am Lt. Colonel Sargis Sangari, the Republican Candidate for Congress of the United States of America, in the 9th District.

WTTW Chicago has generously provided me two minutes to tell you why you should vote for me, as the Republican candidate.

Things are changing very rapidly in our nation… the most pressing issue today is
defeating the COVID Virus, which has become the number one impediment to the advancement of our country.

Next, we have to facilitate strong economic development, maximizing the growth of the national economy to bring about social equity.

While doing all this we must continue to concentrate on fixing and building our
healthcare system. Keep what works and change what does not given the health and well-being of our families is a priority.

We will actively tackle these collective needs, understanding that nothing can be
accomplished without ensuring our domestic tranquility.

The same way that I in the course of six years of continuous combat deployments… surviving 7 IED’s having earned the combat action badge,… serving in a diplomatic assignment in Kuwait,… and several other deployments to the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Central America SHOWED YOU… by my 20 years of tangible, life and death consequence based leadership …how to accomplish complicated and critical tasks for our nation and how much I love, YES… LOVE our country, the United States of America!

I offer you my service to the nation in the political arena to address these critical needs and in dedication to the good people of our district.

Thank you, and God Bless you…and God Bless the United States of America.

Candidate Q&A

Why are you running?

To serve my nation! I am running because it provides for me the opportunity to continue in service to our great country. I have invested over 20 plus years of my life in dedicated service to the nation in our armed forces, and now that I am retired, it does not mean that I am retired from my desire to serve my country. Therefore, this for me, is the opportunity to continue in my commitment to protect and serve.

What is your vision for this office?

In order to serve the residents of the 9th district, I want to facilitate strong economic development to bring about social equity. We need to ensure domestic tranquility and for me and my staff to tirelessly serve and support our constituents in any way possible.

What do you think is the most pressing issue facing your constituents and how do you plan on addressing it?

The most pressing issue today is defeating the COVID Virus, which has become the number one impediment to the advancement of our country. While concentrating on this, we must facilitate strong economic development, maximizing the growth of the national economy to bring about social equity, and as we do this, we must understand that none of this can be accomplished without ensuring our domestic tranquility.
