Citywide Career Fair Returns With Job Opportunities in Government, Nonprofit and Private Sectors

Job seekers will have an opportunity to meet and speak with representatives from more than 90 employers in various industries during a citywide career fair next week, according to a news release.

The career fair will include job opportunities from local and state government agencies, nonprofit organizations and the private sector. A list of participating organizations can be viewed on the city clerk’s website.

Industries represented at the career fair include transportation, construction, manufacturing, health care, security, retail, education and government. The career fair is making its return following successful fairs in the spring and fall of last year, according to a news release.

The career fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Olive-Harvey College in the Transportation, Distribution, & Logistics Building, 10001 S. Woodlawn Ave.

Some employers have committed to conducting on-site interviews and making real-time offers, according to a news release. Job seekers are encouraged to apply for positions ahead of time to increase their chances of securing an interview or offer during the event.
