Chicago City Council budget hearings — and frustrations — continue as Mayor Brandon Johnson proposes a $150 million property tax hike. That’s after his original $300 million recommendation was unanimously struck down by the council last week.

The Chicago Teachers Union is asking the mayor to help move things along in its contract negotiations with Chicago Public Schools.
