According to police, officers responded to a report of a person shot at a home in the 6000 block of North Kenmore Avenue at around 8 p.m. Sunday. There they discovered the boy with a gunshot wound to the head. He was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but later died of his injuries.

No one was in custody in connection with the shooting as of Monday morning.

Also over the weekend three people were wounded in a shooting at a gas station in the 700 block of East 95th Street. Police said the victims were in a verbal altercation with another group at around 8 p.m. Saturday when shots were fired. Two men, ages 20 and 24, were hospitalized in good condition and a 16-year-old boy was listed in critical condition after being shot twice in the arm.

Two teens were wounded in a shooting in the 1600 block of South Morgan Street at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The victims — an 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy — were walking in that area when they heard shots and felt pain. Both were struck multiple times and were hospitalized in fair condition.
