Week in Review: RNC Projects Unity as Trump Accepts Nomination; Pressure Grows on Biden to Exit the Race

Former President Donald Trump says Americans need to start expecting and demanding bold, dynamic, relentless, fearless leadership — and that he’s the one who can deliver it.

In his more than 90-minute speech to accept the GOP nomination, the former president began by calling for unity, but soon pivoted to criticizing Democratic leaders as incompetent. Trump then returned to familiar anti-immigrant rhetoric, decrying what he characterized as an invasion at the southern border.

Meanwhile, as the GOP projected unity, Democrats are fighting among themselves as the pressure builds on President Joe Biden to step aside.
