The Department of Streets and Sanitation is once again fielding submissions for its second annual “Name a Snowplow” contest.

Since last year’s winners, including Da Plow and Sleet Home Chicago, already covered some of the more obvious bases, this new round will demand even greater creativity.

Submissions are open online through Jan. 12, or when the city receives 20,000 entries, whichever comes first. Only one submission will be accepted per person; the maximum number of characters is 50.

Staff at Streets and San will winnow submissions down to 50 finalists and voting on winners will be open to the public from Jan. 22 to Feb. 2. The top six vote-getters will represent one snowplow in each of Chicago’s snow districts.

As a reminder, here are the names chosen last year:

— Mrs. O’Leary’s Plow
— Da Plow
— Salter Payton
— Sears Plower
— Sleet Home Chicago
— Holy Plow!
— Jean Baptiste Point du Shovel
