The Chinatown Summer Fair is back for two days of family-friendly programming that includes kung fu demonstrations, Chinese folk dance, a K-pop competition, Japanese drumming, samplings from Chinatown restaurants, a children’s area and much more.

Details: noon-10 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday on Wentworth Avenue from Cermak Road to 24th Place. Free / MAP

2. Uncover

Step into the role of your favorite CLUE character in CLUE: A Walking Mystery. The interactive game takes place at multiple downtown Chicago locations, where you and your fellow sleuths will gather clues to solve a murder mystery.

Details: Times vary through Labor Day. Game begins at Block 37, 108 N. State St. $35-45; children under 5 are free / MAP


3. Gather

Bid farewell to the Silver Room Sound System Block Party, now in its 18th and final year. The beloved festival draws tens of thousands of people to Hyde Park to eat, shop and celebrate. Learn more in our “Black Voices” conversation.

4. Acquire

The National Sports Collectors Convention brings together collectors, dealers and traders from across the country. You’ll find autographed memorabilia, vintage collectibles and everything in between.

Details: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday (VIP admission begins at 9:30 a.m. each day) at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Road in Rosemont. $30-159 / MAP


5. Shop

With more than 150 vendors, the Randolph Street Market is one of the nation’s largest urban antiques markets. From artwork and jewelry to furniture and clothing, there’s something for everyone. Expect DJs, live music, minstrel poets and plenty of food options (including the Original Rainbow Cone).
