Get a look at locations covering everything from the stunning St. Regis Chicago tower in the loop by architect Jeanne Gang, to Ernie Wong’s Ping Tom Park. Also featured are Juan Gabriel Moreno’s dynamic “El Centro” building in Avondale and Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece Unity Temple in Oak Park.

“The show is unlike any I’ve done before,” said Baer. “I thought I was after visual beauty alone. But meeting the people connected with these places and hearing their stories took the beauty to a deeper, emotional level.”

“The Most Beautiful Places in Chicago” premieres March 7 at 7 p.m.

Read a full interview with Baer about the special where he details how the locations were chosen.
