NASCAR has announced its music lineup for Chicago Street Race Weekend, July 1-2, calling it a “two-day racing and music festival like you’ve never seen before.”
The Black Crowes and The Chainsmokers will play the warm-up date on July 1, with concerts book-ending the NASCAR Xfinity Series race around Grant Park (the Xfinity Series is NASCAR’s second-tier circuit).
On July 2, Charley Crockett and Miranda Lambert will take to the stage before the start of the premiere Cup Series race.
General admission tickets go on sale Feb. 2.

The Street Race, which will start and finish in front of Buckingham Fountain, will take drivers past some of the city’s most iconic lakefront landmarks. Announced in July 2022, the race met with mixed reactions.
City officials touted the revenue-generating potential while opponents, including Friends of the Parks, lodged complaints against the closing of Grant Park to the public during peak summer season.
The park district sold NASCAR the permit for $500,000, plus commissions on concessions, merchandise and ticket sales.
