Viewer Feedback: ‘Fishing is Cruel and Inhumane in General’

Viewers had strong reaction to our recent story about “snagging.” That’s a controversial form of salmon fishing allowed in certain parts of the city in which fishermen use a hook to try and “snag” a fish on any part of its body.
And Gov.-elect J.B. Pritzker wants to increase funding for education, but he hasn’t put out a specific plan on where the money would come from.
