Architect Thomas Beeby and his firm, HBRA Architects, brought new life to Chicago museums, including the Chicago History Museum and The Art Institute of Chicago; designed the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park; and buildings for universities around the country. But he's probably best known for the Harold Washington Library Center, Chicago's central library in the South Loop. Beeby is now the subject of a new WTTW documentary hosted by Geoffrey Baer, titled The Invisible Hand: Architect Thomas Beeby. We get a preview on Chicago Tonight at 7:00 pm. Watch WTTW11 at 8:00 pm to view the full documentary.
