Richard Grabowski Q & A

1) What is the No. 1 issue in your district and how would you address it?

The economy being in a recession, and its impact on private sector businesses and job growth.  As our congressman, I will be an outstanding advocate for the voice of the ordinary citizen, taxpayer and business of our district in Washington D.C., welcoming and promoting new business development in our state and southwest suburban district by strengthening and solidifying the conditions for economic growth, bringing real private sector businesses and real jobs back to Illinois for good.

2) How would you promote job growth in your district?

I will fight for common sense legislation aimed at making government smaller, limited, and less intrusive in our lives, our businesses and our communities, lowering taxes, welcoming and promoting new business development in our state and southwest suburban district by strengthening and solidifying the conditions for economic growth, bringing real private sector businesses and real jobs back to Illinois for good.

3) Should the federal government cut spending and where?

Yes!  Very limited protected status on virtually every area of spending, with the minimal amount of taxation needed to accommodate projected spending, limited to what’s needed to effectively administer the union between the 50 sovereign states and provinces with an annually established balanced budget.

4) If Republican, which GOP presidential candidate do you support?

My top 3 are:  1. Santorum, 2. Gingrich and 3. Romney.

5) Give an example of something you’ve done that is bipartisanship in nature.

Working between manufacturing departments in the best interests of the growth and profitability of the company as a whole, enhancing our cumulative ability to get business done.

6) Name one good policy idea that comes from the opposing party.

Let me think about that for a while…Still working on it… OK, you so got me on that one.

7) How do you define family values?

Holding first the values of faith, family, freedom, father and mother, one man one woman marriage, and teaching my young children in my family the differences between right and wrong, social conservatism, treat others the way that you would expect to be treated.

8) What are your thoughts on the healthcare law?

I’m not in favor of it.  It needs to be repealed.  Good sounding intentions on other people’s dime and at the cost of our freedoms, increasing costs rather than reducing them, on a gargantuan bill that was not read before voted on.  Shame on them!

Our Constitution does not guarantee the right to healthcare ‘insurance’ provided by our government, forced on the private sector business healthcare professionals and medical provider industry.

9) Who is your political role model?

As a sitting Congressman - Joe Walsh, also Mark Levin, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh.

10) What’s on your iPod?

I do not own an iPod.  If I did it would have Toby Keith, Nickleback, The Offspring, Foo Fighters, and some AC/DC for starters.
