Gang Arrests
A major drug raid at the CHA's Dearborn Homes led to the arrests of 30 alleged members of a street gang suspected of trafficking in a deadly form of heroin. Rich Samuels has details of what investigators are calling "Operation Snakebite."

Hildur Lindquist
In 1991, a Channel 11 documentary told the stories of ten Chicago elders—outstanding seniors who were activists, business people, artists and community leaders. Among them was a Swedish immigrant housewife named Hildur Lindquist. This coming Saturday, Hildur Lindquist will celebrate her 100th birthday. To commemorate the occasion, we replay a portion of the 21 year old documentary that featured a then 85-year-old Mrs. Lindquist.

Spider Saloff sings Johnny Hartman
Johnny Hartman is a lost son of Chicago jazz. He was born and raised here and became one of the most highly regarded jazz vocalists of his time. But he's still not very well known. The American Songbook Preservation Network wants to reintroduce Hartman and his songs to the town he called home. So next week, Hartman's songs will be honored in a remembrance concert by artists who have a strong personal link to him. One of those artists, acclaimed vocalist Spider Saloff, joins us in the studio tonight to perform two of Hartman's songs.
