Illinois Attorney General
As Illinois’ chief legal officer, the attorney general is responsible for protecting the public interest. The attorney general legislates with members of the General Assembly for new laws and litigates to ensure laws are followed. The Office of the Attorney General has approximately 450 attorneys who specialize in more than 40 areas of law.
