Candidate Statement

Hi, my name is James Falakos and I am running for U.S. Congress in the 4th District of Illinois.

I consider myself a unique candidate, running as a Republican, but really an independent at heart. I’m a small business owner who started my businesses during the COVID pandemic. I own an heating and cooling business, an insulation business and a solar business.

I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Renewable Energy: Economic and Public Policy. I have a Master’s of Science in Advanced Energy and Fuels Management. I have 10 years of direct industry experience in the fields of wind energy, solar, thermodynamics, building science, energy development and general energy production.

I have a strong background in small business, as most of my family are small business owners. I was put to work at a young age. I learned the value of working hard and that no job is too low or too high for me. I have worked with a diverse group of people, including blue collar and white collar. I have attended both public schools and private school.

My Father is a Greek immigrant who migrated here at 16. My mother was born in America.

I was born and raised in Westchester, which is a western Chicago suburb. My friends and I consider Westchester a perfect microcosm of America, because Westchester is sandwiched in between highly affluent towns, like Hinsdale and Oakbrook, and working class blue collar towns, like Bellwood and Broadview.

I attended both public school until 8th grade, with a diverse student body of Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Greeks, Asians and Muslims. We all got along.

I’m not a career politician, but a small business owner, who only answers to you and only you. I do not like donations, bribes or corporate money. I’m here to listen to your concerns and fight for what you want. I represent you.

Candidate Q&A

Why are you running?

I am running to represent the interests of everyday working class people. Interest groups, PACS, and corporations own Washington and it is time we take it back.

What does this office do well, and what needs fixing?

The current office is a disgrace. It is designed to keep people in debt and in need of the government.  If elected I will focus on my top 5 issues from day 1. These include Inflation and cost of living, Energy independence and renewable energy, Small business growth, Healthcare/Functional medicine/Preventative medicine, and the education system.

What is the most pressing issue facing your constituents and how do you plan on addressing it?

The biggest issue facing my constituents right now is cost of living and inflation. Inflation is being caused by the out of control spending of money by our government, the irresponsible printing of money by the fed, and the corruption that has rotted away our democracy. If elected, I will allocate money to increase domestic manufacturing, increase domestic production of oil which has a direct impact on all goods and services, eliminate sales tax on food, gas and personal care products, Lower interest rates, decrease trade barriers and tariffs that increase the cost of everyday goods, and launch a full forensic audit of the IRS and the Fed.

What specific steps would you take to ensure your office is accessible and responsive to your constituents?

Please email me at [email protected] with any questions, concerns, issues, thoughts or feelings. I am here to serve you and only you.
