Candidate Statement
Hello residents of the 16th ward. My name is LaTasha M. Sanders. I take this opportunity to ask for your vote on February 26th for alderman of the 16th Ward.
16th Ward residents deserve infrastructure maintenance upgrades: a clean, well lighted, rodent free, safe community. A community whose pride can be seen through the beautification of a neighborhood that is well maintained. Improvements throughout the 16th Ward that can be seen in parks, on lawns, and all other common areas.
16th Ward residents deserve attentive, inclusive leadership that will establish comprehensive self help programs aimed at empowering men and women to become gainfully employed citizens and quickly addressing problems that arise: unsightly housing deterioration, abandoned cars, uncut vacant lots, and huge potholes.
16th Ward residents deserve trade school programs that will provide training in areas such as auto repair, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, trucking, welding, legal aide assistance, and health care providers.
16th Ward residents deserve programs that will that lead to self sufficiency, promote individual growth, social development and economic sustainability.
16th Ward residents deserve transparent leadership. Leadership that will make a difference where it counts.
