Candidate Q&A
Why are you running?
I bring fresh energy & grassroots leadership as a young American running for Congress. I'm an 8th-generation Illinoisan born in Oak Lawn on the 4th of July. My story is part of the larger American story—my family came to America seeking opportunity & freedom. I carry that spirit with me today. I've embraced the roles of entrepreneurship & community organizing, dedicating myself to serving families. Through The US Patriots Society, I've passed bipartisan legislation that makes our communities a better place. I see the divide in Washington and how career politicians are failing the families I network with every day. Government should be serving you the American People and putting your interests first. With a proven record of mobilizing, uniting, and representing diverse groups, I’m running for US Congress, to serve with honesty, integrity, energy, & focus—delivering affordability, security, & opportunity for all Americans. Put simply, I’m running to restore your voice in Washington, D.C.
What do you think is the most pressing issue facing your constituents and how do you plan on addressing it?
The most pressing problem in Illinois and the 6th District is the burden of overtaxation and unaffordability. Because of these key issues, Illinois families are struggling to just get by, let alone get ahead. In Congress, I’ll work to provide immediate relief for Illinois families through implementing federal tax cuts, extending reforms that boost jobs and wages in Illinois, cutting wasteful spending, and promoting American energy independence, successfully lowering utility bills, creating jobs and opportunity, decreasing tax burdens, and increasing the standard of living that Illinois families have worked hard for.
What is one unique challenge your district faces and how do you plan to address it?
One unique challenge impacting Illinois’ 6th Congressional District is America’s affordability crisis. This is driven by Illinois’ crippling property taxes—now the worst in the nation—and inflation-fueled increases such as housing, energy, and everyday essentials for the hardworking families of DuPage and Cook counties. I’ll work to fix this in Congress by championing federal tax relief measures—extending proven tax cuts and fixing policies that unfairly burden our highly taxed state. I will also advance American energy policies, bringing down utility and fuel costs while putting more money back in the pockets of our residents, strengthening Illinois’ economy through bipartisan, common-sense solutions.
What do you think federal immigration reform should look like?
It is of the utmost importance that immigration policy & enforcement balance security with compassion. America needs strong borders, effective enforcement, and a legal immigration system that works. Alongside this, we must treat people with dignity & respect, ensuring that solutions strengthen our communities. My commitment is to policies that uphold the rule of law, protect American workers, keep our communities safe from criminals & gang members, and reflect the values of fairness & opportunity that define Illinois and our nation as the shining city on a hill. America is a nation of laws and a nation built by immigrants. Our policies must reflect this dynamic, upholding the rule of law & the dignity of those seeking the American Dream.
How should Congress address the rising costs of health care?
Congress should address rising health care costs through market-based, bipartisan reforms that prioritize affordability, patient choice, and innovation—without mandates or single-payer overreach. Illinois families struggle with high premiums, deductibles, and drug prices, worsened by inflation and expiring subsidies. In Congress, I’ll support retaining key protections, advance competition, expand health savings, boost price transparency, and incentivize preventive care. This will lower costs for our communities and deliver real relief for working families.
What approach would you take on tax policy and what is your top priority?
I will address tax policy from a straightforward approach: lower taxes to boost economic growth, reduce government waste, and give Illinois families more take-home pay. My top priorities are to extend tax cuts for hardworking Americans—creating jobs and raising wages for Illinoisans—while also fixing unfair policies that hit high-tax states like Illinois the hardest. This will deliver real, immediate relief without new burdens.
Is the House currently using its oversight powers in the way it should be? What areas of government need more or less oversight?
The House is effectively using its oversight powers, concentrating on wasteful spending, border security, and national security risks, all while also advancing bipartisan reforms to cut fraud and modernize government in support of government efficiency and accountability. The House should maintain strong oversight in these areas, as well as emerging threats like cybersecurity. In Congress, I will ensure the government truly serves the American People.
What is the most pressing foreign policy issue facing the country and what role should the House play in dealing with it?
America’s most pressing foreign policy issue involves international Communism, particularly regarding Communist China. This encompasses military tensions, economic conflicts, and technological advancements that threaten U.S. leadership, dominance, and security. As a member of the US House, I will play a pivotal role in combating this threat through defense, trade, innovation, and energy. I will ensure that America maintains its edge and status as the world’s superpower without unnecessary entanglements abroad. This will safeguard America’s national interests and expand opportunities for American businesses, workers, and families.
How do you view AI and the role the government should play in its regulation?
Artificial intelligence presents a transformative era for American innovation, economic growth, and national security—unlocking advances in countless industries. This can lead to real opportunities for American families and businesses for generations to come—if A.I. is managed and grown responsibly. Government involvement should remain focused and restrained—prioritizing safeguards for children against harmful content, protections against deepfakes, robust cybersecurity measures, and the defense of free speech—all while steering clear of overly restrictive regulations that risk allowing America’s foreign adversaries, like Communist China, to outpace American tech innovation.
How would you describe the current state of your party and what changes or new approaches would you like to see your party adopt?
The Republican Party currently stands as a resilient and energized force, putting the interests of the American People first—economic strength, border security, national sovereignty, safer communities, and job creation. To build on this momentum, the Republican Party must continue to broaden its appeals to working-class families and suburban voters by lowering taxes, channeling jobs, opportunity, and investment to states like Illinois, and advancing the education and health of our children for generations to come. This evolution will foster unity and effectiveness, ensuring we address the concerns of everyday Americans in our shared goal to make the American Dream a reality again.
