Adios Arugula, Radishes

One week ago, we began harvesting the radishes and arugula in our garden. Today, we harvested the remainder of those crops.

While Jeanne Nolan was not with us to harvest, we used the same techniques as she did during our previous harvest.

Even though it was cloudy and cool, we used hydrocooling to harvest our crops. As we harvested the arugula, we removed the roots before placing them in cool water.

Once all of the arugula was harvested, we pulled the remaining five radishes and placed them into a bowl of cool water, too.

Inside, we rinsed our crops and let them sit in cool water for 10-15 minutes before wrapping them in paper towels to take home and enjoy.

While our garden is empty where the arugula and radishes grew that space will soon be filled by the tomato plants and zucchini.
