Candidate Statement

This is Rob Cruz. I am a father, a small business owner, cancer survivor and advocate.

I'm here to speak today on the issues that are troubling communities all across the nation, including Illinois. Issues that are taking place in our schools and our businesses and our streets that have made our world a place of constant conflict. While we all hail from different backgrounds, one thing that unites us all is the future of the world that we will leave our children.  Family values are the core of the American dream, and it's how we have built this great nation. Unfortunately, we have entered into a new age that has gone away from this type of thinking.

The old alliances have betrayed us. I can promise you that I will always listen and learn from the people that live in my district and in my community. Every problem has a solution if we're willing to work together. I chose to run for this office because I fear for the world I'm leaving behind for my daughter and the issues that lie ahead.

Issues like the sexualization of our children, disguised as national sex education standards coming out of Washington. Curriculum geared towards political agendas and not the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic.

Issues like the inflation and supply chain shortages that we see due to poor economic policy, common items like gas, food, and survival goods are surging pushing us towards a second recession this century.

Issues like the safety of our neighborhoods from rising crime rates.  Cities across the nation are experiencing crime at all time highs, including Chicagoland.

Issues like rising tax rates from uncontrolled spending from our federal government, which will push the burden on to small business owners and their employees.

I believe we all can agree that these scenarios do not create the world. We wanna leave our children. I came here to ask you one question, will you join me in working together and finding a solution so our children can grow up in a world that puts them first. If so, on June 28th, primary choose Cruz in the Republican primary poll number six.

Thank you very much.

Candidate Q&A

Why are you running?

To leave a better world for our children

What does this office do well, and what needs fixing?

This office is used for personal gain, I will put the people's agenda above all other agenda's.

What is the most pressing issue facing your constituents and how do you plan on addressing it?

Crime, I plan to advocate and propose a plan that requires federal, state and local partnerships.  Project Exile was used in the Richmond Virginia area in the mid 90's and was very effective.  A close 2nd is the Sexualization of children in school.  A major revision of the national sexual standard is needed from the Education and Labor committee.

What specific steps would you take to ensure your office is accessible and responsive to your constituents?

I would implement a monthly town hall to keep people informed and take any questions or concerns.
