Candidate Statement

Hello. I’m Congresswoman Mary Miller, and I am honored to be running for re-election in the 15th District with the endorsement of President Donald Trump.
President Trump endorsed me because our country needs bold conservatives in Congress who will always put America First.

I’m not a career politician.

I’ve spent my life in the real world, on my small family farm serving my community with my husband Chris, where we were blessed to raise our seven children and welcome 18 grandchildren.

Under Joe Biden, we’ve seen an unprecedented attack on the American way of life.

My fellow farmers have seen the price of fertilizer double, and now we’re facing a fuel and supply chain crisis which will lead to a food crisis.

Now crime is surging and Joe Biden opened our southern border to a literal invasion.

What is happening to our country and why are so many Republicans afraid to fight back?

President Trump endorsed me because I am not afraid to take on the Swamp.
I am the only Republican member of Congress from Illinois who is fighting every aspect of the Biden agenda.

I’m proud to be the only Republican from Illinois to vote against the Biden-Pelosi gun confiscation bill, which would have allowed firearms to be seized by the federal government.

I was endorsed by the NRA in 2020 and I am the only member from Illinois with an A rating from the Gun Owners of America.

I am proud to have been endorsed by Senator Ted Cruz and every major conservative organization, including Illinois Family Action, for my Pro-Life, pro-family record.

My name is Mary Miller, and I am proud to be the conservative in the race for the 15th District, and I would be honored to have your vote.

Candidate Q&A

Why are you running?

I am honored to be endorsed by President Trump for re-election in the 15th District. I am running because I am the conservative, America First candidate who is most in line with the values of the voters in the 15th District. I am the only member from Illinois in the House Freedom Caucus and I am 100% Pro-Second Amendment, Pro-Life, and Pro-Family.

As a family farmer and the mother of seven children and eighteen grandchildren, I provide a unique voice in Congress that speaks for average Americans. I’m a political outsider who hasn’t made my career in Washington, and my life is built around the values of family, faith, and freedom. In addition to President Trump, I have been endorsed by Senator Ted Cruz and every major conservative organization including Illinois Family Action, Family Research Council Action, FreedomWorks, the Club for Growth, and the Susan B. Anthony List.

What does this office do well, and what needs fixing?

I am extremely frustrated by the federal government’s inability to focus on the issues that actually impact Americans. For the past two years, I’ve stood up for parental rights on the Education and Labor Committee and been a passionate voice for family farms on the Agriculture Committee. The most important role of the federal government is protecting our country from foreign threats, but the Biden Administration has opened our southern border to an invasion led by gangs and drug cartels from Mexico.

When I am re-elected as part of a Republican majority in Congress, I will fight to ensure that Republicans keep their promises to the American people and live up to the mandate that voters will have given us to undo the damage caused by the Biden Administration. It’s not enough to simply show up each day in Congress, we have to hold the Biden Administration accountable for the crisis they created on our southern border, the energy crisis they have created at the pump, and the fertilizer crisis that is threatening family farms.

I am the only member of Congress from Illinois who supports impeaching the Biden Cabinet to hold them accountable for ignoring our border and immigration laws by allowing an invasion on our border.

What is the most pressing issue facing your constituents and how do you plan on addressing it?

he most pressing issue facing our country right now is the fuel, inflation, and supply chain crisis, which is threatening farmers and will create a food crisis. I have been warning for months that the cost of fertilizer has doubled and fuel prices are at record highs. The supply chain crisis has made repairing farm equipment slow, costly, and impractical. T

he Biden Administration is creating a food crisis by attacking the American energy sector because they want to advance their “woke” Green New Deal politics. I pressed President Biden’s Secretary of Agriculture on these issues, and his response to me was that farmers should just use less fertilizer if the costs are too high! I sponsored legislation to immediately reverse the Biden Administration’s executive orders on energy and I’ve opposed their labor policies, which created the supply chain crisis at our ports.

As your representative in Congress, I will fight to return to the Trump Administration policies that made us energy independent and put America first.

What specific steps would you take to ensure your office is accessible and responsive to your constituents?

Constituent services are the cornerstone of every good Congressional office, and helping constituents has been a key priority during my time in Congress. From working as a liaison between my constituents and a slow moving federal bureaucracy, to advocating for the issues that my district cares about and always being responsive to constituents’ questions and inquiries, I have worked to build an office that is accountable to the people and always willing to listen.

I have been a leading voice on reopening the US Capitol to the public to ensure that the American people have free access to their elected representatives. I am committed to maintaining a staff in Illinois that is active in the community and puts the public first. During the past two years, my office has saved or recovered over six million dollars for my constituents and has successfully resolved hundreds of constituent cases. I will work hard to continue that record of success and ensure that none of my constituents are left behind.
