Candidate Statement

My name is Jeff Regnier and I'm running for Congress. The reason I'm running is because as a small business owner, I am frustrated with the direction our country is moving. Since the Democrats took control we are entering a super recession. Inflation is at a 40-year high, prices are rising from the cost of goods, food and fuel. Many are seeking relief with no help in sight.

What can be done? I have solutions to the problem and it starts with a plan to bring back industry. For too long Biden and the Democrats have overtaxed and over-regulated business. The reason businesses are fleeing to China is because of the bottom line. Meanwhile, millions of American workers are left behind.

Banks are refusing to lend or hold mortgages and local businesses are shutting their doors because they cannot pay their employees. My plan will be to entice businesses and start flowing American-made products into the market.

Illinois is the most dangerous state in the country. In 2021 Cook County had more than 1,000 homicides. Violent crime, carjackings, drugs and shootings are out of control. The criminals have declared war on the Police. Yet our elected officials are giving them a free pass when they are arrested. This stops now. We need to clean up Chicago, the state, and the nation.

I have a plan to restore and rebuild our great nation. To advocate for the forgotten ones. Seniors, Veterans, single mothers struggling every day to feed and protect their children.

My plan includes

· More help for our seniors including vouchers and better healthcare.

· Better care for our veterans including addressing their mental health and eliminating homelessness.

· Youth and parental training to prevent violence.

· Combatting the gangs and violent criminals.

· More grants to entice American businesses.

· More jobs for American workers, not other countries.

· Protecting our pensions and investments.

· A stronger military.

· A stronger border presence and increased penalties for illegal immigration

· School vouchers

· Building back infrastructure

· Cutting foreign AID.

And putting Americans First before anyone else.

Candidate Q&A

Why are you running?

Because America needs real leaders to help under served communities, create more American jobs and manufacturing and bring civility to politics.

What does this office do well, and what needs fixing?

I haven’t seen anything the current Congressman has done in years. Too much division with the current elected politicians.

What is the most pressing issue facing your constituents and how do you plan on addressing it?

Job Security, volatility, crime and inflation. I plan to pursue legislation that promotes American job security and protects workers. I will also pursue legislation that punishes law breakers and protects victims.

What specific steps would you take to ensure your office is accessible and responsive to your constituents?

I will answer as will my staff, handle any and all constituents issues with respect and in a timely manner.
