Pencil in a group singalong with a couple million of your fellow Chicagoans on Friday night and, if you’re free, Saturday too.

At 8 p.m. Friday, tune into 97.1 FM The Drive, crack open a window or step onto your porch, and belt out Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down.” Click here for lyrics if the song’s title are the only words you know. Feel free to wave a flashlight, lighter or phone to add a little visual interest.

This is The Drive’s fourth Friday singalong, following ”We Will Rock You,” ”Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Eye Of The Tiger.”

On Saturday, Ald. Andre Vasquez (40th Ward) has organized his second weekly singalong, with simulcast on MeTV 87.7 FM. The entire city is invited to participate in a rousing rendition of the Blues Brothers’ “Sweet Home Chicago” at 7 p.m. Saturday. Click here for lyrics.

Vasquez is encouraging a minute of clapping and cheering at the end of the song to thank healthc are workers, city workers, first responders, retail workers and teachers.
