Chicago Artist’s Caricatures a New Yorker Staple


For more than 25 years, a Chicago artist has made thousands of ink drawings and caricatures for The New Yorker magazine. Tom Bachtell has also created distinctive artwork for the Chicago Tribune, Poetry magazine and our sister station 98.7 WFMT.

A rare gallery show of his work just opened at AdventureLand Gallery. We spoke with the artist on the eve of the opening.
