You may know him by the sound of his voice.
Peter Sagal is the funny and irreverent host of NPR’s news quiz show, “Wait, Wait … Don’t Tell Me!” which just celebrated its 20th anniversary. But what you may not know is that Sagal is an avid runner. His personal best marathon finish – he’s completed 14 so far – was in 3 hours, 9 minutes. That’s running 26.2 miles at an average pace of about 7 minutes, 15 seconds per mile. In other words: That’s quick!
Sagal’s latest book, “The Incomplete Book of Running,” is part ode to running and its benefits, and part personal diary.
He joins us in discussion.
