St. Patrick’s Day festivities kicked off a day early at Brookfield Zoo last week, where several groups of animals got shamrock-shaped and green-colored treats on Friday.
The zoo’s camels, lemurs, orangutans and gorillas all enjoyed balanced biscuit and gelatin snacks prepared by animal care staff.
Two of the zoo’s gray seals, Boone and Lily, also munched on gelatin goodies. Gray seals’ natural habitat is the North Atlantic Ocean, including off the coast of Ireland.
Below, photos of the animals with their St. Patrick’s Day treats.
