Contact Tracing is the process of finding people who have come in contact with an Ebola patient. According to the CDC, contacts are watched for a 21-day period, to see if they develop symptoms. If a contact displays symptoms of Ebola, they are isolated, tested, treated, and their contacts are found and monitored for 21 days. Each figure in the graph below represents a new contact that can be traced back to the original Ebola patient at the top.
