The Future of MSI

David Mosena, president of the Museum of Science and Industry, joins us on Chicago Tonight at 7:00 pm to discuss the renowned museum’s future as it celebrates its 80th birthday.

In celebration of its 80th anniversary, the Museum of Science and Industry selected 80 artifacts from its collection of 35,000 for the 80 at 80 exhibit. Some pieces, like MSI’s star Paul Bunyan statue, allude to the museum’s past. Some, like the first GPS system (1909), chronicle historical advancements in science and industry. And some, like a Google Glass unit and 3D navigation, offer a glimpse into the future of technological creativity. View a slideshow of items from the exhibit. Be sure to read the captions for more information.
